The World Food Program (WFP) is changing their way of aid through digital cash. With advancements in technology, the conventional way of assistance to refugees is being replaced by electronic cards or vouchers. The Digital can offers greater choice to refugees because they will be able to receive and transfer money to buy what they really need. They can buy seasonally adjusted foods in any of the nearby markets and also withdraw money instead of receiving physical goods.
According to WFP, more than 100,000 people depend on the cash-based transfer for their basic needs and it is planning to enlarge the number of refugees who take digital cash will be increased at least 500,000 people.
