Tourism in Copenhagen is about knowledge sharing

An international event does not necessarily have to create a massive turnover for the tourist organization Wonderful Copenhagen to be interested in hosting it. They are moving away from the idea of entirely looking at how many hotel rooms that are booked during an event in the Danish Capital.

According to Lars Vallentin Christensen, head of sport events at Wonderful Copenhagen, another factor is to look at what else the organization can help create during a music festival for instance – like artists networking with each other.

‘’We have a number of networks with interests in cultural events. An example is a small festival that wants inspiration from a bigger festival. It is about knowledge sharing, ‘’ says Lars Vallentin Christensen.
