Are people in copenhagen scared of being victims of crime?

Reported crimes in Denmark have increased by 25% for the second quarter of 2022 compared to the first. These crimes include threats of crime and violence to private people and the official government. Earlier this week there was a bomb threat to one of Copenhagen´s many gaybars.

On a global scale, there has been a decrease in criminal behavior over the past years. However there are exceptions. In conversation with police, it seems that there are certain measures taken to ensure safety sound bigger events, such as the upcoming Copenhagen marathon. Nevertheless, they are not able to convey information of what is generally done on a regular basis to ensure people´s safety in the city.

People killed in gun shootings or terror atttacks in scandinavia is very low compared to the rest of the world. However, the recent mall shooting in Copenhagen and the gun shooting towards a gay bar in oslo shows that there are exceptions.
